Para los responsables de la toma de decisiones y reguladores de Nevada,

Como clientes de servicios públicos de Nevada, exigimos que NV Energy y Southwest Gas se enfoquen en soluciones de energía limpia que ahorren costos para nuestras comunidades. Las aparentemente interminables alzas en las tarifas y los aumentos en el precio del gas natural significan que las facturas de calefacción en invierno y del aire acondicionado en verano son demasiado altas para que la gente las pueda pagar. Es injusto que estas empresas monopolísticas aumenten sus ganancias y continúen contaminando de una manera que nos afecta a todos. Estamos contando con que nuestros reguladores de servicios públicos y nuestros legisladores pongan fin a esto y protejan a las familias y a los negocios que están batallando.

La dependencia de Nevada en combustibles fósiles sucios y costosos provenientes de otros estados pone en peligro nuestra salud financiera y física. Con el gobierno federal haciendo la mayor inversión en energía limpia y reducción de la contaminación en la historia de Estados Unidos, nuestro estado tiene la oportunidad de alejarse de las malas políticas del pasado, lo que traerá facturas más bajas y aire más limpio para todos los residentes de Nevada.

Instamos a nuestros reguladores y a nuestros legisladores estatales a hacerles rendir cuentas a las empresas de servicios públicos y a que defiendan soluciones reales para reducir nuestras facturas de electricidad e invertir en energía limpia local y libre de contaminación. Las familias de Nevada, no las corporaciones y sus accionistas de Wall Street, deben ser la prioridad.
